Editorial policy
Sources
Machine specs come from each maker's UK spec page or manual. Safety advice comes from official UK bodies. See how we compare machines.
Tone
We write like a friendly workshop neighbour who reads the manual first: plain English, short sentences, numbers shown with their source. British spelling, metric first.
Machines
We haven't tested these machines, and we never say we have. Buying guides compare published specs and official guidance, say at the top what we compared, and every "best" heading says why. No star ratings, no fake urgency, no income promises.
Safety
Laser pages always carry our laser safety note. Kiln pages carry our kiln note and point to a registered electrician for any new supply. We never give instructions for wiring, or for getting around a machine's safety features.
Making and selling
Where we mention tax, we link to GOV.UK, show the date we checked it and say plainly that it's general information, not financial or tax advice.
Independence
Affiliate links never decide what we list. Pages with affiliate links say so at the top, and each link is marked Ad. See our advertising disclosure.
Bylines
Every page is written by the Lindenmaker team.
Mistakes
If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. See our corrections policy.
